In fact, there is no link to this page whatsoever from any of my webpages. I haven't advertised it at all. So if you're here I've either told you about it or my anti-spidering scripts have failed. This webpage was posted for the sole purpose of getting a couple of new players up to speed with the basic rules before we dug out the old boxes and played a few scenarios. This webpage does not necessarily reflect the views of Paramount Pictures, ADB, Task Force Games, or any other entity. Still with me?

Still with me? Good, SFB is not for the weak of heart. Now that we've got the leagalese out of the way we can get down to business: Students should sharpen their Bat'leths and charge up their datapads, this is going to be a crash course in the utter basics of Star Fleet Battles. The idea being that when Fleet Command decides to put you in the Big Chair, you won't end up sending one of our glorious battlecruisers to a firey death on the side of an asteroid your first time out. Death in combat, however, is another thing entirely.

The class is broken up into a few major sections, accessable through the links below or the floating menu to the left. They should be fairly self-explanitory. Follow them in order, and be prepared to take notes. There is a quiz question at the end of each class section, you will need to answer it correctly to proceed to the next part. Please remember that this is just an introduction to the main concepts of SFB. The Captain's rulebook is over 300 pages long, so you should have plenty of questions for me when we finally meet in combat.. err.. in person. Those that do not take the lessons in order will be shot and fed to tribbles. You've been warned. Qapla'!
