Mandalorian Combat Gloves

Mandalorian Combat Gloves

One example in a line of thousands of different Mandalorian armor acessories, these gloves date from around the time of the Battle of Ruusan (1000 BBY). They are a fairly standard piece from that time period, when the Mandalorian Clans were strong and were feared Galaxy-wide. The technology present on the gloves is high, even by modern Imperial standards, which is a testament to the Mandalorian engineers.

The gloves were designed to compliment the already-impressive Mandalorian armor suite, and incorporate a variety of then-popular technologies. When donned, the gloves will draw in a small sample of the wearer's blood and mix it with a dose of the biotoxin before injecting the sample back into the bloodstream. Mandalorians will be unharmed, but this safety feature is usually fatal to all others. The gloves also come equipped with an impressive array of combat features, including advanced healing and stimulant injections--as well as a personal force shield. The use of such shields has declined in recent centuries, mainly due to their tendency to stand out like a torch on most modern combat visors and targeting arrays. However, the personal body shield can still be of use in a variety of situations.

The gloves were also designed to mate to most Mandalorian Vibroblades . When activated, the connectors transfer power to a miniature vibro induction unit in the hilt. This induction unit transmits thousands of microscopic vibrations along the blade's edge--allowing the weapon to cut through extremely hard surfaces with only slight pressure. When used in concert with the glove's other abilities, they make for a deadly pairing. It is of note that the drugs and shield charges can only be replenished at a Mandalorian resupply facility, the last of which was destroyed over a century ago.

Game abilities of the gloves:

  • +1D damage when choking, crushing or punching
  • Adds +1D to all Climbing Rolls
  • New right-hand gloves contain 10 doses of biotoxin, 4 doses of Kolto, and 4 doses of Hyper-Battle stimulant
    • Biotoxin: Injected into non-Mandalorians trying to wear the gloves: 7D Lethal damage
    • Kolto: 1 Dose completely heals all damage and stuns
    • Hyper-Battle Stimulant: Lasts 24 combat rounds (120 seconds), ignore all stuns, +2D to all attacks, +2D to all Strength-based damage. Considered stunned for 1 hour once it wears off (cumulative).
  • New left-hand gloves contain a 4 charge Mandalorian personal shield generator
    • Lasts 40 combat rounds (200 seconds) or until it absorbs 30 points of damage from any source
  • Can be used to power Mandalorian Vibroblades
