	Fear. Fear comes from being alive. It can keep you from doing something stupid, like jumping out of a window on a third story building. It can protect you from harm. It can stifle your growth. It can easily cause you to turn from what you know you need to do, what’s right, and choose an easier path. Fear. Reacting without understanding why you are afraid. That is a path to the dark side of the force. To understand your fear. What it is that makes you afraid. To then face it, and still be afraid, that is from the light side of the force. I think I understand what Master Li told me so long ago about courage. “Courage,” he said, “is not the absence of fear. It is being afraid and still doing what you know you must do.” I think I finally understand. There is one more lesson that I’ve learned. It’s that when you abandon your friends, that you truly find yourself in trouble. There are things that I can’t do, that I would never think to do. One of my friends will try something that I didn’t think of and it’s like a new world opened up. We are defiantly stronger together than apart. Thank you for that lesson Kir. Perhaps you’ve had a chance to learn that lesson as well. Wherever you are you can find friends and grow stronger together. Perhaps we will meet again, and I can see if you learned this as well. End.
