Paper Love
Sometimes, all we have are the dreams.

So, what about Her huh?
Her: short, sexy, young, friendly, quick to smile, deeply involved in her life.
But is she involved with someone else? She used to be--is she still?
If not, would she consider me? I doubt it.
What do I have to offer her? Friendship, love, companionship.
Is that enough, and will she accept them from me? Me.
Not a chance.
But her eyes, her gazing stare. She looks into me and through me.
Seeing all? Or seeing a fool, someone to humor. A fool. Me.
What to do, with thoughts on paper?
Reality has a way of messing with paper idealiologies, paper love.
Is that all I can hope for? Love unprofessed.
Or love stated, and trampled underfoot. A mere misunderstanding.
A glitch in my thinking, daring to dream that it was possible.
If only for an instant...
