What is on the playset?

Cowboy Bebop the Movie: Knockin' On Heaven's Door
The year 2071 A.D. The future is now. Driven out of their terrestrial Eden, humanity chose the stars as the final frontier. With the section-by-section collapse of the former nations a mixed jumble of races and people came. They spread to the stars, taking with them the now confused concepts of freedom, violence, illegality and love, where new rules and a new generation of outlaws came into being.

Jazz agers, flower children, lost generation, beatniks, rockers, punks, nerds, hackers, lovers, generation X... whatever the designation, there have always been outlaws in our society who live in pursuit of autonomy. At times they are revered for their roles as pioneers, challenging the unknown; other times people consider them lawless desperadoes and a dangerous presence. Yet, really, it is only their exuberant music and an autonomy founded to express opinion different from those of others that set them apart from the rest of society.

After the mass migration to other planets following the Gate Incident, crime sky-rocketed. The police now have very little authority in the solar system. To help suppress the rising crime rate, the Inter Solar System Police brought back the bounty system of the Old West. Independent vigilantes could capture criminals for large amounts of money as long as they submit the bounty heads to the police alive. A new generation of bounty hunters were born. People referred to them as Cowboys...

Cover of the Cyberpunk rulebook
The Corporations control the world from their skyscraper fortresses, enforcing their rule with armies of cyborg assassins. On the Street, Boostergangs roam a shattered urban wilderness, killing and looting. The rest of the world is a perpetual party, as fashion-model beautiful techies rub biosculpted bodies with battle-armored roadwarriors in the hottest clubs, sleaziest bars and meanest streets this side of the Postholocaust. Oil rains from the sky, spare parts are grown in vats, trees are a myth, and the last bird died in 2028...   The Future never looked so bad.

But you can change it. You've got interface plugs in your wrists, weapons in your arms, lasers in your eyes, bio-chip programs screaming in your brain. You're wired-in, Cyber-enhanced and more solid state that a 20th Century tank. You can take it to the fatal Edge where only the toughest and coolest can go. Why? Because you're a CYBERPUNK. And the world is counting on you to save them.

Why did I do this?

After filling out one too many job applications last week, I decided to ignore them for a bit and go watch some DVDs. Tossing in a anime disk, I spent the next few hours happily digging through the fridge with the crew of the Bebop. Maybe it was Jon's leftover red twists from the last game, maybe it was the scotch, but I suddenly realized something: Jet was a Cop, Spike was a Mafia, Ed was a Netrunner. The evil GM grin began to form... And so, because it simply had to be done, I present, the first ever Cowboy Bebop conversion for Cyberpunk!

I don't know if my group will ever do a game, but this page is here for all those Cyber GMs and Bebop fans who are looking to try something new. In any event, it simply had to be done.

3... 2... 1... Let's Jam.

How did I do this?

This site has been made entirely with Notepad. Editor? Editor?!? I don't neeeed no stinkin' HTML editor. Ed Was Here!

For the image work, that was all done on Adobe® Photoshop® 7.
The images themselves were pulled directly from the DVD set.
