Sera. Sera was changed by her encounter with Metlo. She hasn’t shared all of the details yet. Still, there is a spring in her step, she stands a little taller. Something changed in that moment with Metlo, but I’m not sure what that was just yet. I will continue to watch her and see how this change manifests itself.

The first visit to check on Marrla. What a difference a few hours could make for a Jedi. The temple chamber was cleaned, there were weapon racks for training. The secret chamber behind the alter contained food, medical supplies, and training materials. Marrla had one more surprise for me. When I entered the room, she flipped over the alter and passionately kissed me. After a moment Marrla realized that I wasn’t who she thought I was but rather I was myself, Lim, returning to the temple. Marrla apologized. It seems that she used to know Yanna’s father. The damaged crystal I carried in the lightsaber was his and for a moment Marrla was confused. She thought that Master Tarassi had returned and perhaps the story I told her was inaccurate.

What I learned is that while strong emotional attachments were frowned upon amongst the Jedi, that there were those who chose to break that rule. I believe that a strong and passionate love can lead to the dark side. The emotion of love when experienced so powerfully can turn you against your training and send you right down the path of the Dark Side. I watched Yanna struggle down that path. I must find out more from Marrla about her relationship with Master Tarassi. Perhaps there is a piece of this puzzle that I’m missing.
